In the Press Technical Support Safe@Office Sales Page
September 2005 Edition

Dear Readers,

Small business network security is more than just having a firewall installed. It is about knowing, being aware, and taking the right actions. In this edition of the SofaWare newsletter, we bring you a full copy of the “Small Business Network Security 101” white paper. The purpose of this white paper is to give small business owners, IT experts, and security service providers a better understanding of the threats, needs, and obstacles that small businesses face when dealing with network and information security.

We are also proud to introduce the Safe@Office sales page (http://www.safeatoffice.com), where you can purchase Safe@Office appliances from online retailers in the US at competitive prices.

In this edition’s “Feature Focus”, we concentrate on network objects and their uses and applications.

As always, we welcome your comments, suggestions, and requests. Your opinion matters to us a great deal.

Small Business Network Security 101
With broadband usage quickly becoming a standard in the business world and network security hazards on the rise, small businesses without a dedicated IT team are faced with the great challenge of protecting their networks from threats. However, in order to meet this challenge, small businesses must first face a greater challenge: understanding and acknowledging the threats...

Network Objects
Small business networks come in many sizes, shapes and levels of complexity. Compiling a security policy and rule-base can sometimes be a tedious, complicated task. Network needs change and grow as technology and the small business needs change, and often security and network settings need to be altered. Network objects simplify these tasks by allowing static property assignment to specific networks and hosts.

Success Story - Natpoint
Wick Hill reseller Natpoint has found a new security market for Check Point's SME offering, the Check Point Safe@Office, designed for the SME/SMB market. Natpoint is installing the inexpensive security solution into flats in a new Bishops Stortford development by Stephen Howard Homes. The Check Point units will provide firewall security for the 21 flats which are being sold ready with built in broadband services. This will protect the apartment owners while they're on the Internet and protect the individual flats from each other.
